Oblon Attorneys Ranked in 2024 IAM Patent 1000

  • Firm News

We are pleased to announce that several of the firm’s attorneys have been ranked in the 2024 edition of IAM Patent 1000.  The IAM Patent 1000 focuses exclusively on patent practice and has firmly established itself as the definitive ‘go-to’ resource for those seeking world-class legal expertise.  IAM Patent 1000 identifies Oblon as offering IP services across the board from its Virginia and Tokyo offices, valuing long-term partnerships with clientele in order to offer the best possible work product.

Our attorneys recognized this year include:

Philippe J.C. Signore, Ph.D. is Managing Partner of the firm, as well as a partner in the Electrical and Mechanical Patent Prosecution group, Patent Litigation group, and Counseling and Strategic Advice group. IAM Patent 1000 identifies Signore as one who is “revered for his U.S. patent litigation background knowledge, which proves useful to foreign patrons.”

Yuki Onoe is a partner, head of the Tokyo office, head of the Chemical Practice Group, and member of the Life Sciences and Litigation practice groups.  IAM Patent 1000 identifies Onoe as one who is “skilled in life sciences and cutting-edge technologies such as machine learning and AI.  Aside from prosecution, she is known for her incisive pre-litigation advice, especially for pharmaceutical companies.”  According to one of Onoe’s satisfied clients, “Her skills are excellent and her knowledge relating to U.S. patent practice is deep.  She always takes time to discuss complicated matters with us.”

David M. Longo, Ph.D. is a partner in the Electrical, Mechanical and Design practice groups, and chair of the Prosecution Management Committee.  IAM Patent 1000 identifies Longo as one who “deftly manages international portfolios for major players in the electrical industries.”

Marina I. Miller, Ph.D. is partner in the Chemical Patent Prosecution group.  IAM Patent 1000 identifies Miller as one who “excels in the life sciences offering tailored counsel based on her extensive education in both chemistry and physics.”

According to our clients, “Oblon is very astute, and it actively communicates to understand the client’s needs.  The firm is superbly competent in handling U.S. prosecution and is a go-to for prosecution and IPR work.  Oblon is also a great team to have in your corner in litigation cases.”
